Peachy, Coraly and Pink Nails.

I wish i was more creative with my titles LOL. Everytime i post something i try to think of something 'catchy' but i suck. :(

Anyways! What i get up to in my spare time is just playing with nail polish and I don't like having too many bright colours on my nails. If you know me - I'm a pretty neutral coloured and also neutral towards make-up i barely have any wild colours in my collection but probably a bright pink lippy .... i'm still a slight noobie when it comes to any beauty products. So i'll be usually wearing a nude lippy or especially nude/peachy coloured nails (if you've noticed)

Nevertheless, lately my nails have been outwearing my OPI Dulce De Leche for 2/3 weeks with a Clear Top Coat. I love that colour! It's probably my signature nail polish colour! It started getting edgy but not cracky - which is what i love about OPI nail polishes. They're absolute quality but a bit pricey (especially if you live in Australia they cost $20AUD at David Jones) but i bought mine on eBay for roughly $15AUD.

I wanted to get rid of my Dulce De Leche Colour (for reference - the picture above) and so i was looking through the nail stash and found my next 'go to' colour which is Revlon's Iced Spice (130) - I looks really old according to the spill stains my mum has probably made and all but it was a bright Peach colour and a new colour variation to my nails.

I got bored after having this colour for a day and reverted back to my OPI Barefoot in Barcelona which is a mauve? (not too sure) I think... well just a darker version of Delce De Leche... I sort of got inspired to use my Nubar after a long time after seeing Tezza's post, on where she is wearing the same Nubar 2010 as i own here!

This little nail affair

Just recently i got into painting my nails.... okay not recently but probably beginning of Uni and all. I got bored of wearing clear nail polish all the time (i just liked painting them clear LOL) and also mainly because i went to a Catholic school and nail polish was no where to be worn at school. I seriously couldn't be bothered being a rebel and wearing nail polish occasionally without trying to get caught, cause i would have to go to the office and remove it and at the same time get in trouble blah blah. Soooooo stupid. So i painted my nails clear - obviously teachers didn't notice and it still made my nails look naturally healthy and polished :D

Anywho! After high school and all, i slowly started merging into wearing nail polish again. I was never a  nail polish fanatic but seeing how plain my nails were, they were a great addition to make up. (I hope that makes sense) but also since my mum was in the nail art craze earlier and we have more than 30+ nail polishes at home ranging from different colours, brands and prices LOL (I sound like a commercial) anyways!

I recently had this blue flakey nail polish look for 2 weeks and surprisingly they haven't changed that much. Barely any signs of damage? I don't know. I think that was just way too long for me to have them, also my nails are long and they're getting in the way of things so i decided to clip them and go with a simple nail colour. The reason why I think it has lasted me 2 weeks is because i layed so much Nubar G188 Flakey Nail Polish on soooooo much (let's say 10 times) and it has been intact.

The two nail polishes i used!

The Eclipse is a Navy Shiny Blue. (It doesn't have a specific name for it sooooo if you're going to buy this just find something like a shiny navy!)

The Nubar G188 - I believe it's a limited edition one and my friend Kristy told me about it, so kudos to her!! I've been in love with it ever since i bought it from the States.

I used like 2 layers of the Eclipse nail polish and probably 7-10 times of Nubar to get my desired flakey effect.

After removing my beloved blue flakey nails, i honestly thought it was too dramatic for tomorrows dinner party that my mum is hosting at my house. So i decided to go with my all time favourite, OPI's Delce De Leche

I applied only one coat and i couldn't be bothered  apply more and my nails look super nooby as i trimmed them, so hello to short nails... for now!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Wet Weather Wednesday

Hello there! I just came back from Cabra + DFO Homebush. I started off my morning by having brunch at Cabramatta while my mum had to go see someone and decided to drop me off at Cabra to eat by myself. Very sad LOL. So i sat at Bau Truong by myself like a lost kid eating Brunch.

Dry Egg Noodles with Crispy Chicken at Bau Truong
I'm no expert in Vietnamese nor am i Viet but i know that it's called 'Mi Kho Ga Chien Dong'

After finishing brunch met up with my mum and drove to DFO. The first thing i did was head to the Oroton Outlet since i received an email saying they're having a sale. Being disappointed, i couldn't find a decent Oroton Bra in my size so my mum ended up grabbing a nice one for herself and I grabbed myself an Oroton Umbrella which i definitely need for ages!

My mum has one in a chocolate colour and it's REALLY good quality and pretty too - so i got one for myself (since i'm always stealing the familys crappy umbrellas and they have the tendency to break often - so now i have one for myself) Also, the sale consisted of oroton clutches and handbags. I'm not a fan of what they had there on the bags but i was only there to get my umbrella i've been lusting for, for ages.

This baby was $22 (was $55) on sale at the Oroton Outlet
and also online (+$9.95 shipping)
but i was lucky to grab the last one in this Light Pinky Cherry Blossom colour.
I had no trouble using it after i left the store after considering NOT to open it yet but it was pouring - so i had to or else get sick walking to the car.

It's EXCELLENT QUALITY and you push the button to open & close the umbrella. Nifty aye?

Walking around and browsing, i went into a Homeware store just to check out all the cute baking utensils they had.
PRETTY CUPCAKE CUPS. But so expensive.
You can never go wrong with Jasmine Milk Tea with Pearls from Easy Way
They just opened an Easy Way Store in DFO :D

Next stop was CK Underwear, i wasn't really planning to go in but seeing how nice their undies are and it was on sale. I had to take a peek. Considering it might be super expensive being all branded and all.

Grabbed myself some much needed essentials.

Calvin Klein Undergarments
Bra (RRP. $79.95) + Matching Undies (RRP. $29.95) both for $40.

I spent probably nearly half an hour in the store as a lady wanted to fit me in the 'right' bra.
She was very nice and honest - so i really loved the service at Homebush CK Underwear. She even recommended me to go try another store in DFO for more bras. Talk about support LOL.

After spending, 3 hours at DFO and finally coming home - i saw in my letter box a package, wondering if it was my Cherry Culture package - unfortunately it wasn't ... but it was my OPI's! Which i purchased 2 days ago.

Delce De Leche (2 Coats) & My Index Finger is Barefoot in Barcelona (but it's not noticeable)

With my Nubar Polish on top. (I cleaned it after that application since it didn't suit)

It's Cold and I feel sleepy. This weather is perfect to snuggle up and watch a movie. But i think i'm just going to start painting my nails and all an probably clean out my perfectly messed up closet. I'm a huge clean freak when it comes to my room.

Til Later!

Shopping with a restriction?

So i got my paycheck from my marketing job on Friday night. I hate how they're not so efficient on paying me - but nevertheless i got paid!!! So after earning quite a decent amount since i've started. I came to realise that i've been splurging WAAAAAAAAY too much where i really need to start saving or forever be poor... So, i kinda started budgeting but i just had to get some essentials.. yeah? (My money is gonna be gone soon by my next paycheck) I cry.

Anywho, here are my recent purchases...

I just purchased myself two OPI's off eBay for a really reasonable price! One for myself and one for my mum. I got the Dulce De Leche one. I saw this around heaps at places and also on Larisa's blog. I fell in love with the colour and i love neutral natural pastal-like colours?! If that makes sense. Overall, just nothing too bold :)

I also bought myself this MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25, I already have an Australis one but i thought i'd buy a MAC one to match with all the MAC products i have (Yeah, totally an essential) but i've been lusting over this for too long - so i just had to get it. I asked my cousin who lives in Texas and she works as a MAC Artist and all and she knew i was lusting over this for so long so she decided to send me a new one she had as a spare for me. (Thanks so much Lila :D)

Can't wait to get my hands on this!!!!

Lately i've got hold onto these 2 samples which my mum gets from buying Clarins and Lancome all the time. They're just random and i thought i'd try them out.
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm:
A Highlighting Primer which is great for flash photography and great on tightening pores.

Lancome Creme Mousse Confort Cleanser:
Just a cleanser for dry skin, the texture for this creamy foam is just velvety and is a pretty pearl shimmery colour - smells heavenly and works well on the first go!

Also i've purchased this Formula 10.0.6 Mud Mask and All Natural Witch Hazel Toner - for those who don't know what witch hazel is, it's a type of cleanser which is mainly used in majority of all facial products which aid for acne, blemishes etc.

I love the natural witch hazel as it's not mixed with other chemicals and it's not too pricey + it's natural! I just squeeze some product onto a cotton pad and just wipe is across my face in the morning / night time - well once a day to get rid of blemishes. Basically, it's just a toner.

The Formula 10.0.6 Mud Mask i just tried it out, i gotta say it didn't do much for me other than the pink one i purchased a while ago - but i thought i'll try this since i have a bit of a breakout of pimples on my forehead. So far, it hasn't done much - probably prolonged use might see some significant effects but i perfer the Pink mud mask i purchased from them earlier.

That's my recent purchases this week!

Also, STEREOSONIC IS IN 6 DAYS!!!! I'M SO PUMPED TO SEE AVICII!!!! YAYYYYY!! HEHEHE. Just thought i'd put that out.

Night of nails.

Late post, i've been out and about today. And it's 11/11/11 today! - Not really gonna make a huge deal about it. I just like the number - not really a big fan of the whole 11:11 etc thingy. (Don't judge me) anywho, i'm tired - thought i'd post something!

This whole day consisted of bludging at home and craving for Ferrero Rocher. Earlier in the afternoon i went to Woolies with Lorenzo to buy some food to make for dinner and came across a whole box of Ferrero Rochers. How i really wanted to get them but unfortunately - i couldn't. Anywho, this morning the mail man delivered my Macadamia Natural Oil Shampoo...

Review: I thought it would be great, turns out to be alright.
I remember using it at Lorenzo's house and it made me hair super soft because he uses this one too.. LOL

Result? It does make my hair soft but not instantly, probably after a couple of washes or so.
I spent $48 (incl. shipping from Victoria) I'll see how it is after a week and get back on that.

Earlier this evening i wanted to try marble nails and this is how they turned out...

Very messy and pretty nooby for a first time. But i had fun painting my nails and trying different techniques and colours to occupy my friday night in. Supposedly i was suppose to go to dinner with Lorenzo but something happened - so i ended up staying at home and made spaghetti... Fun.

Painted my nails with this OPI Candles On My Cake Nail Polish, It's a nice cherry red colour. I also found this...

Never knew i had any OPI's but they're colours i usually wouldn't use so i think they're my mum's. The green is called Electric Eel and the Cherry Red one .. well thats the Candles On my Cake colour. I can't wait to get my Nubar nail polish from America. It's like Inglots #202 nail polish with the speckles and stuffy. Thanks Kristy for telling me about it! :) Also, i'm contemplating on getting MACS Studio Fix Powder.. Don't know - I should really save up for my trip to Ikea next week where i can decorate my room with pretty things.

Til another time.

Love, J.
