NARS Highlighter in Albatross & Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

So I finally got my hands on a NARS product. I'm loving this highlighter for the past month which I've been using. I haven't gotten around posting this right after I purchased it because I've been heaps busy with Uni and now with all my exams done, I can finally blog again but not too long! If you don't know yet, I'm heading to Melbourne for 12 days to hang out with family, do some shopping and of course 'take a break'. It's literally my 2nd home there and I love shopping there, it's better than Sydney imo.

Anywho I also grabbed Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (which I will talk about first) which is a god sent product. I hands down will not turn back to any other primer. I previously used Natio & Face of Australia (which are found at Priceline/drugstores etc) and honestly, over time I found no significance towards my face when applied. I don't think there was any holding power but meh, I still continued to use it.

But, this Smashbox primer is definitely a repurchase. I know this product has silicon so no wonder it holds my make up so well. If you're allergic silicon, stay away. This little 15ml product costed me $16US and of course that's hella pricey but I'm willing to go out of my way to repurchase it.

Anywho, to the NARS Highlighting Powder in Albatross. I know technically it's classified under blush but meh - same thing! I love it and I don't really find it looking like a disco ball on me like people mentioned. It's awesome and I can't go out without it - I literally carry with me in my little make up kit. I only use a tiny bit of product and it goes a long long way. I mean obviously it will make you look disco ball if you apply heaps... with any highlighter of course. This costed me $27US

Hope you're all doing well and to all of those who finished their exams. I just finished Semester 1 of my 1st Year in IT. YAY! Can't wait to go to Melbourne, my beloved boyfriend is taking me to the airport hehehe. Be back real soon! Also, any suggestions on places to eat at Melbourne? Let me know!

Face of Australia Illuminators

So here is my promised review for Face of Australia's Mineral Therapy Illuminators.
I have here Angel Blush and Angel Mist. This going to be quick and short! I do try to be as elaborate as I can!

Angel Mist (Left) and Angel Blush (Right)

What I love about this product is that you get heaps for $14~  I mean, I barely doubt I would finish it in a whole year! A little goes a long way for these babies. The Angel Mist one is much comparable to Benefit's Moon Beam which I've tried several times and personally don't like. I don't know why but I love Face of Australia's one better.

Do apply with caution as you should only tab a small pea size amount on the cheeks and blend (which in my case, I use Angel Blush as a liquid blush and set it with my blusher from my Elf Duo Compact). As for the Angel Mist, BE VERY VERY CAUTIOUS because adding too much would obviously make you look like a huge disco ball (and we don't want that happening).

The best thing about these is the fact that it's a multi-purpose product. Obviously with any make up you are not limited to what the product is. You can use Angel Mist all over face highlight by adding it to your foundation (apparently you can do that - says on the packaging). Also as a liquid eyeshadow and setting it with powder.

Overall, I was a bit skeptic about these products when I first tried them. I didn't like them as much but now it's part of my favourites!

They can be found in any stockists where Face of Australia is found like Fashion Addict (google that) and also Big W, Priceline, Target etc. They're around $14 (varies from store) and you can heaaaaaaaaaps. Probably the amount of your typical moisturiser! So worth the money!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Eyeshadows/Blush

L2R: Obliterate, Firebloom, Sunfire, Heroic, Holiday Spices, Archangel, Transquil.

So my order from Femme Fatale came in the mail last week. When I got them they were all sample sized sachets that I was eager to try out. I can't wait to purchase the full size pigments of these eyeshadows, not only are they good for eyeshadow, they're great as blush and also highlighters!

All of them are eyeshadow colours, the blush I would say would be Fire Bloom or Transquil (Which I really like). So far I am heaps impressed! I'm really loving Heroic, which I've been using so so much on my lids lately. As well as Archangel as a highlight. I haven't been using much of the colours ever since I swatched them cause they're so many to get through!

Each sample is roughly 90c - $1.10 depending on the type and also the range. I was given a free sample of Holiday Spices as well. I love Holiday Spices, which is my 3rd favourite and I love the holographic fragments some of the pigments show.

Overall, they're awesome. I would definitely rate them 5/5. They're so pigmented and beautiful. My favourite is Holiday Spices and I wish it wasn't a limited edition :(

Also, they're Vegan Friendly, Australian Made and also Lip Friendly if you're planning to use some of the pigments/shadows for mixing and decorating purposes.

Femme Fatale Ships internationally as well so check out their website here!

Lust Haves: Nars Blush, Highlighter, Bronzer

I went to Mecca Cosmetica at The Galleries, Victoria at the City on Tuesday. I just had to try out these NARS Powders because I've heard so much about them and I've never gotten around to trying them.

Nars Albatross - Highlighter & Swatch

I'm currently lusting over Albatross so much, because I'm in need of a really good highlighter. I tried this swatch at the Mecca Cosmetica store and fell in love with it. I love the reflective gold shimmer it contains within the powder itself - love love love it.

Nars Luster - Blush & Swatch

Nars Luster is probably what I always wanted in a blush. I'm not a fan of pink, red or coral blushes... Well this is somewhat like it... but I love peachy colours?! Nevertheless, I love Luster. I admire it so so so much. Perfect everyday blush in my opinion and sooooo for me!

Nars Casino - Bronzer & Swatch

I love this bronzer when I swatched it. It's better than the most talked about Nars bronzer Laguna in which I also swatched as well. I love Casino more, I can't really put my finger on why it's better - Probably the shade is much more lighter and has little specks of glitter which I admire (in some case most people do not like glitter) It's not obvious glitter but does provide a little gleam-ness when applied. I found that with the Laguna it does not really show up for me on one swatch (and I am an NC25) but I love this.

Overall, these blushes, highlighter (also part of the blushes) as well as the bronzer are $55AU at Mecca Cosmetica.

They're $28US on Sephora from what I know (For Albatross and Luster) and $32US for the Casino bronzer.

I'll be keeping my eyes on these and hoping I can purchase these real soon!
P.S. My birthday is in August... so if I don't get these in time I would love these a present! (just a hint hehehe)

Love, J.
