Nail, Face and Outfit for Saturday.

So on Saturday, I went to my friend Teresa's Birthday/Get Together. I thought I would go for a new look and get rid of my green sparkly nails for the party/the rest of the week... only until I get my China Glaze Polishes which I ordered on eBay!

Here I have the nail polishes I used to create this 'galaxy inspired' nail look. I attempted one with similar colours last time (here) and since I got this new ORLY Nail Polish in Sapphire Luck. It is such a wonderful colour! But it does take a few coats to get it to a great opacity.

It's messy due to the fact I cleaned my nails several times and my nails kept bumping into things so I had to redo them. *sigh!

For my FOTD/OOTD It's not really noticeable due to the lighting of this picture in which I took on my iPhone's front camera but I like this picture. Hehehe! This photo I snapped with lovely birthday girl, Teresa!

My question to you guys is! What's your favourite primer! I put my new Natio Primer to use on Saturday (got it that day as well) and it works wonders! Anyone of you use primers? Yes? No? Any ones that are Holy Grail ones to you or any you recommend? I would love to hear what you have to say! Leave a comment below!

Peachy, Coraly and Pink Nails.

I wish i was more creative with my titles LOL. Everytime i post something i try to think of something 'catchy' but i suck. :(

Anyways! What i get up to in my spare time is just playing with nail polish and I don't like having too many bright colours on my nails. If you know me - I'm a pretty neutral coloured and also neutral towards make-up i barely have any wild colours in my collection but probably a bright pink lippy .... i'm still a slight noobie when it comes to any beauty products. So i'll be usually wearing a nude lippy or especially nude/peachy coloured nails (if you've noticed)

Nevertheless, lately my nails have been outwearing my OPI Dulce De Leche for 2/3 weeks with a Clear Top Coat. I love that colour! It's probably my signature nail polish colour! It started getting edgy but not cracky - which is what i love about OPI nail polishes. They're absolute quality but a bit pricey (especially if you live in Australia they cost $20AUD at David Jones) but i bought mine on eBay for roughly $15AUD.

I wanted to get rid of my Dulce De Leche Colour (for reference - the picture above) and so i was looking through the nail stash and found my next 'go to' colour which is Revlon's Iced Spice (130) - I looks really old according to the spill stains my mum has probably made and all but it was a bright Peach colour and a new colour variation to my nails.

I got bored after having this colour for a day and reverted back to my OPI Barefoot in Barcelona which is a mauve? (not too sure) I think... well just a darker version of Delce De Leche... I sort of got inspired to use my Nubar after a long time after seeing Tezza's post, on where she is wearing the same Nubar 2010 as i own here!

Galaxy Nail Attempt & Misc.

So last night i was really bored and i decided create a little look with my nails. It might look slightly tacky but i swear it looks better in real life. I wanted to do galaxy nails but the only way i could do it and probably achieve it (from what i can think of is marbling - which is messy) so i did the most noobiest thing and got a coat of purple nail polish (Revlon's Plum Attraction) and a teal aqua nail polish (Incolor by Jordana in Ocean View) swiped a few coats on top of each other to create a streaky effect to create a somewhat 'galaxy' effect (kinda fail but it made do) and i finished it off with some plain silver glitter nail polish and Nubar's G188 flakey nail polish.

Anywho as mentioned, i got my NYX lippies. I must say these two are my instant favourites at the moment.

I know i just got them like... earlier today but i'm madly in love with them already.
NYX Round Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm

Put together & viola! My new lippie sensation LOL. I wore them out today for my late lunch with the boyfriend and he said he liked it hahaha! I forgot to review about my Stockholm Lip Cream which i will now! (I'll probably add an edit to my previous post)

NYX Lip Cream in Stockholm: Overall, they apply on really easy. I love the pigmentation and also how it feels on my lips - I love how Matte it is as well! This wins me over my MAC Dazzleglass and since it is a lip cream it seriously does wonders! It's glides on smooth and also i just love the texture and the vanilla smell! definitely a 5/5 for me!

So a little earlier i headed out to Harry Cafe De Wheels at Orange Grove with Lorenzo to grab a Cafe De Wheels Hot Dog, omgggggg it's so freaking nice and i just had to take a photo of it. It's freaking scrumptious as and apparently it's not that fattening... LOL. The best $5.90 ever spent on a good hot dog. So this was considered my late lunch.

Sooooo nommy, i had this before at the city outside Capitol Square right before my 11am class started. This was my breakfast - felt so guilty but oh so furfilling.

Be back soon!

This little nail affair

Just recently i got into painting my nails.... okay not recently but probably beginning of Uni and all. I got bored of wearing clear nail polish all the time (i just liked painting them clear LOL) and also mainly because i went to a Catholic school and nail polish was no where to be worn at school. I seriously couldn't be bothered being a rebel and wearing nail polish occasionally without trying to get caught, cause i would have to go to the office and remove it and at the same time get in trouble blah blah. Soooooo stupid. So i painted my nails clear - obviously teachers didn't notice and it still made my nails look naturally healthy and polished :D

Anywho! After high school and all, i slowly started merging into wearing nail polish again. I was never a  nail polish fanatic but seeing how plain my nails were, they were a great addition to make up. (I hope that makes sense) but also since my mum was in the nail art craze earlier and we have more than 30+ nail polishes at home ranging from different colours, brands and prices LOL (I sound like a commercial) anyways!

I recently had this blue flakey nail polish look for 2 weeks and surprisingly they haven't changed that much. Barely any signs of damage? I don't know. I think that was just way too long for me to have them, also my nails are long and they're getting in the way of things so i decided to clip them and go with a simple nail colour. The reason why I think it has lasted me 2 weeks is because i layed so much Nubar G188 Flakey Nail Polish on soooooo much (let's say 10 times) and it has been intact.

The two nail polishes i used!

The Eclipse is a Navy Shiny Blue. (It doesn't have a specific name for it sooooo if you're going to buy this just find something like a shiny navy!)

The Nubar G188 - I believe it's a limited edition one and my friend Kristy told me about it, so kudos to her!! I've been in love with it ever since i bought it from the States.

I used like 2 layers of the Eclipse nail polish and probably 7-10 times of Nubar to get my desired flakey effect.

After removing my beloved blue flakey nails, i honestly thought it was too dramatic for tomorrows dinner party that my mum is hosting at my house. So i decided to go with my all time favourite, OPI's Delce De Leche

I applied only one coat and i couldn't be bothered  apply more and my nails look super nooby as i trimmed them, so hello to short nails... for now!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Re-decorating.

Laggy post, but i clearly had nothing to post about until now! So quickly, a recap of the last 3 days!

So Lorenzo & I went to Parramatta on Monday and Tuesday. Only because on Monday we went to drop off his assignment at Le Corporate (this professional printer place) and the next day we had to pick it up - so I popped by Officeworks near by and bought myself some photo frames and a corkboard which looks pretty sharp in my room i must say! The frames we're on clearance and i managed to get the two framed one for $4 and the four framed one for $6? and the next day i went i buy another!

I also developed some photos of my cousins Melissa & May in our trip to Melbourne beginning of this year and also there's an old picture of me with redish brown hair (That was Year 10) LOL don't judge me!

Tuesday was a second re-run at Parra and we grab ourselves Boooooost + heaps of Breadtop. I got myself some berry one which i forgot, it was soooooooo nice and Lorenzo got Mango Tango? God, i seriously don't remember their names.

We also sussed out this Sushi Place (Sushi Deluxe) on Level 5, I apologise because i was way too hungry to take photos and ended up taking photos afterwards LOL (I don't know why i uploaded them ROFL) anyways... we are never eating there again. Service was really clumsy, by clumsy i mean - there was only 1 girl working and she kept forgetting to give us food and i asked her for water 3 times and she never gave me a glass of water. I don't know i felt sorry for her since she was the only person working but also - the prices was just too expensive for a sushi train dishes.

Like for example... I bought Agedashi Tofu the bloody tofu did not come with Udon sauce and it was not cut in cubes it was cut in squares... Plus it was $5.20. I much prefer Poporo / Takeru Sushi Train at Market City. Their dishes are $2.50 (with a Student Card) and also it's nice and cheap!

Also their miso soup and Sushi Deluxe was a packet Miso Soup, i could tell as the spring onions in the soup were tiny and we're rehydrated ... i can tell by fresh miso soup and packet... and just too add to my review of this place. Soft Shell Crab portion was RIDICULOUSLY small and it was $5.20 and one more thing. I paid with Eftpos and the girl forgot to give back my credit card. Thank god i asked for it back or else i'd never get my card back.

Note to self: NEVER EAT JAPANESE AT PARRA - seriously i always have the bad experiences there and also the japanese food at Parra is not great. I rather go to the city and have nicely priced food and food that is freshly made and generous in portion. Enough about that.

Today was pretty lols and by that, the weather was gay. Travelled all the way to Penrith with Lorenzo (cause he didn't wanna go to Uni alone to drop off his assignment) so i went along with him cause he was being a little girl (only kidding) but yeah, drove back and came back home and wanted to make chocolate brownies but we couldn't cause we didn't have the right margarine! Really gay cause i NEVER had brownies before. So we ended up eating Pizza Singles and that McCain Healthy Choice thingy - never knew frozen food was pretty nice.

Anywho, before i left the house to Lorenzo's today i got my Nubar Nail Polish in the mail!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! It's so hectic!!! Why is it so hectic?

Because it has these reflective flakes that changes colour!!! If you look closely! Thanks Kristy for telling me about them once again!!

I tried it on with Revlon's Plum Attraction (Here pictured)
Along with everyone else i used.

So... I feel so bloated from the frittata i made earlier like an hour ago.
Egg, Parmesan, Mushroom, Bacon & Onion sprinkled with Parsley.
It was nice but i felt sick eating 3/4 of it. LOL
The things i make at night... fat.

Til Later!

Love, J.
