EOTD & NOTD: Palettes & Nailpolishes

So after I posted a few pictures on Instagram of my current nails (above) I got tweeted by a few on what did I use, today I shall reveal!

I previously had Maxfactor's Ivory Nail Polish with a layer of Nubar Flakie 2010. I got really bored of having a plain gold nail polish on, though it did look like I got nail foils... I decided to paint it over with my Face of Australia Party at the Gap Nail Polish.

The FOA Party at the Gap Nail Polish is a subtle black glittery (not completely) nail polish. I haven't really used it since I got it ages ago and though I'll give it try. I really liked it!

I topped it with a coat of Nubar Flakie 2010 and then quickly dusted a but of Cosmetic Glitter from I Nuovi in Nude Glamour (Which I recieved in my April Lust Have It box)

To seal it and top it all off I went over with a Non Chip Coat of clear Polish from Ulta3.

The I Nuovi Glitter really made a huge difference creating that near Holographic glitterly look. I am admiring these nails! They're gonna be on me for a while!

Moving onto eyes. I was bored coming home from Uni yesterday and decided to play around with my eyeshadows while waiting for my sister to finish showering. LOL

I'm still a bit of a noob but gradually improving! Ever since I got my Naked2 Palette I've seen a difference in my skills.

What did I use?

I use a variety of colours from 3 Palettes that I own.

Nail, Face and Outfit for Saturday.

So on Saturday, I went to my friend Teresa's Birthday/Get Together. I thought I would go for a new look and get rid of my green sparkly nails for the party/the rest of the week... only until I get my China Glaze Polishes which I ordered on eBay!

Here I have the nail polishes I used to create this 'galaxy inspired' nail look. I attempted one with similar colours last time (here) and since I got this new ORLY Nail Polish in Sapphire Luck. It is such a wonderful colour! But it does take a few coats to get it to a great opacity.

2 Layers of Revlon Plum Attraction
2-3 Layers of ORLY Sapphire Luck

2 Layers of Revlon Plum Attraction
2-3 Layers of ORLY Sapphire Luck
1-2 Layers of Nubar 2010 (Flakie)

It's messy due to the fact I cleaned my nails several times and my nails kept bumping into things so I had to redo them. *sigh!

For my FOTD/OOTD It's not really noticeable due to the lighting of this picture in which I took on my iPhone's front camera but I like this picture. Hehehe! This photo I snapped with lovely birthday girl, Teresa!

Then to set everything in place one last time!
Using Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz!

My question to you guys is! What's your favourite primer! I put my new Natio Primer to use on Saturday (got it that day as well) and it works wonders! Anyone of you use primers? Yes? No? Any ones that are Holy Grail ones to you or any you recommend? I would love to hear what you have to say! Leave a comment below!

University Life & NOTD with OPI + Nubar.

So I needed a new change with my nails, I've had OPI Delce De Leche for the pass 4 weeks and it was getting kinda boring. Surprisingly the flaking wasn't real bad.

Just a little about life and why I haven't been blogging lately...  University has been so intense for me, All i'm gonna say is Programming is a bitch - Who ever made Programming the most complex thing in IT should be shot for it because that crap does my head in so bad!

Also, I hate being one of the few girls in every tutorial because my course is male dominated - But I've met some lovely guys who I've made friends with so I guess that cool! At times it's a bit intimidating and all because I think the guys doubt you because you're a girl... in a male dominated course. Not saying this to every male dominated course but from experience... the embarrassment of shouting out my answers in my Communications class and everyone correcting you and giving you looks like if you're the most stupidest person in the room as well as my tutor calling me a fail - jokingly...of course?! I think i'm doing just fine... for now. Everything is just head on, bang, studying. I don't know if i'm pushing myself too hard or it's just the fact that this course is entirely new to me and I clearly have no background knowledge whatsoever. I just don't wanna fail *major sigh*.

But anywho, doing my nails and online shopping is really therapeutic right now. I feel like a sort of shut off from social media lately (facebook and twitter) but anywho, I will never neglect shopping online. I've just bought some things on eBay too.

Who says Money can't buy you happiness?! They clearly shopped at the wrong places. Shopping is definitely making me happy right now after a gloomy week of studying and intense work from Uni. Working on Saturday and Sunday and having Uni Monday - Friday is a killer. But thank god for the money I earn from working last weekend and loving the fact of being a casual. I got my paycheck today, and it isn't too much but it's enough for me to splurge and treat myself after being a studious student for the past 2 weeks.  I can't wait to go shopping with the boyfriend tomorrow and getting new jeans. My two pairs of jeans have holes in them. URGH. Does anyone have any good suggestion for good jeans? My budget is $150 and a pair of Dr Denims from General Pants Co caught my eye. I tried some Ksubi's, Lee's, Levi's and also some Wranglers but they weren't so appealing to me. Cheap Monday's are out of the picture - I am not a fan of their jeans.

Anywho, onto the nails! So my new change for today! OPI's Electric Eel. I've had this nail polish for a gazillion years and I've been putting Nubar 2010 Flakie on top of nearly every nail polish i've been wearing ever since I got it last December. You can say I'm a flakie junkie.

I've never used so much of a Nail Polish until Nubar and the quality is amazing! It's half the price of an OPI retailed and this Nubar Flakie is an awesome top coat. I don't really need to seal it off!

Anywho, I'm trying my best to post as much as a I can and I've just ordered some few things from BeautyBay and eBay (NYX Products) I can't wait to share my thoughts and reviews on them. So be back soon!

Peachy, Coraly and Pink Nails.

I wish i was more creative with my titles LOL. Everytime i post something i try to think of something 'catchy' but i suck. :(

Anyways! What i get up to in my spare time is just playing with nail polish and I don't like having too many bright colours on my nails. If you know me - I'm a pretty neutral coloured and also neutral towards make-up i barely have any wild colours in my collection but probably a bright pink lippy .... i'm still a slight noobie when it comes to any beauty products. So i'll be usually wearing a nude lippy or especially nude/peachy coloured nails (if you've noticed)

Nevertheless, lately my nails have been outwearing my OPI Dulce De Leche for 2/3 weeks with a Clear Top Coat. I love that colour! It's probably my signature nail polish colour! It started getting edgy but not cracky - which is what i love about OPI nail polishes. They're absolute quality but a bit pricey (especially if you live in Australia they cost $20AUD at David Jones) but i bought mine on eBay for roughly $15AUD.

(Taken from Google / pretty-lil-things)

I wanted to get rid of my Dulce De Leche Colour (for reference - the picture above) and so i was looking through the nail stash and found my next 'go to' colour which is Revlon's Iced Spice (130) - I looks really old according to the spill stains my mum has probably made and all but it was a bright Peach colour and a new colour variation to my nails.

I got bored after having this colour for a day and reverted back to my OPI Barefoot in Barcelona which is a mauve? (not too sure) I think... well just a darker version of Delce De Leche... I sort of got inspired to use my Nubar after a long time after seeing Tezza's post, on where she is wearing the same Nubar 2010 as i own here!
